Wooden Bread Basket. These baskets are originally a design from Rick’s father. The design features a rim and base that were cut from a single piece of wood. The dowels are set into holes that were drilled at an angle. This design does not use any glue, but the piece is held together by the friction of the angled dowels. The finish is a food-safe mineral oil that protects the surface and deepens the natural color of the wood. The finished basket oval is 14” x 8”, and 3.25” high.
